
Nkwali
Nkwali Camp is situated in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia, surrounded by open grassland and quiet ebony groves. Just 45 minutes from the airstrip Nkwali is an ideal place to start a safari in this area.
Nkwali is run by Robin Pope Safaris and is a small comfortable exclusive camp catering for just twelve guests at any one time. The guest rooms are constructed from woven bamboo and thatch with open-air bathrooms. From the camp access to the park is by pontoon boat and vehicle.
The South Luangwa National Park has the highest concentration of hippo and crocodile in Africa as well as a good diversity of wildlife. It is regarded as a very good place to see leopard as well as lion. While at Nkwali guests can explore the park on foot or by vehicle on day and night game drives.
