Tongabezi

Tongabezi is located on the banks of the Zambezi River about 12 miles upstream from the Victoria Falls on the Zambian side.

The five thatched cottages and four spacious open plan stone and thatch houses at Tongabezi all have adjoining bathrooms and a lovely view of the river. The cottages have spacious bedrooms with insect nets and a lounge area. The houses are uniquely designed with stunning architectural features and include a seating area and four poster, double beds. The central Tongabezi Lodge facilities include a thatched lounge area with a well-stocked bar and a dining room. There are grass tennis courts at the lodge and some stunning views across the river from the swimming pool which has a waterfall and sun terrace. Fishing and canoeing can be arranged on request.

Visits to the Victoria Falls, sunset and sunrise boat trips, bird walks and "Livingstone Day" (Livingstone Museum, markets and lunch by the falls) excursions are available from Tongabezi. Helicopter flights over the falls, white-water rafting, and elephant back rides can be booked at extra cost.
