Kinasi Lodge is situated on the south-east coast of Mafia Island, south of Zanzibar. The Island is a favourite destination for divers. The rooms are landscaped into an old coconut and cashew plantation, which overlooks Chole Bay.
Each of the well equipped large cottages has an en-suite bathroom. Fans inside the walk-in mosquito nets that hang over the beds keep the rooms pleasantly cool. Each has a covered verandah, furnished with a hammock, chairs and table, and offers beautiful views over the bay.
While staying on Mafia Island activities are individually organised each day for the guests. Picnic excursions by boat or by road around the island can be organised, as well as visits to historical sites and local towns and villages. Water sports are also available and the area is renowned for its excellent diving. Bird watching and nature walks are a good way to pass the time. Alternatively guests can just relax by the pool or on the beach.
