Pole Pole

Pole Pole is located in The Mafia Island Marine Park which is one of the most important marine eco-systems in the world, with more than 400 species of fish. On the island the vegetation is domineered by large palm groves, baobabs, mangroves and fruit trees. Wildlife includes, monkeys, antelope, a small colony of hippo and many species of birds. The bays and lagoons here are excellent for snorkelling and diving for both experts and beginners.  

Pole Pole is fixed in a breezy spot looking over the Indian Ocean and the islands of the archipelago. There are seven bungalows each with a large decked terrace and a spectacular views. The décor is ethnically inspired and each has a roomy adjoining bathroom. The service is relaxed and very personal, with first class meals, based on seafood, including many different culinary traditions with an Indian touch.  

Activities are run daily and include boat trips to the coral rocks and white sandy banks, snorkelling, visits to the old Arab ruins and local villages. Diving is managed by a professional and well-equipped dive centre.
