Zomba Forest Lodge

Zomba Forest Lodge is situated half way up the 6,000 foot high Zomba Plateau making it an ideal place to access the numerous walking and hiking trails. On top of the mountain there are acres of cedar, pine and cypress trees as well as a mixture of other vegetation. The plateau top is criss-crossed by streams as well as having many beautiful waterfalls and lakes.

Accommodation & Facilities
This old colonial house is set in spacious landscaped grounds and consists of four simple bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms, a large living area with a fireplace and a separate dining room. Lighting is mainly by candle light and gas lamps although there is a backup generator.

Wildlife & Activities
There are a number of excellent walking trails around the top of the plateau with outstanding views of the surrounding areas. As well as walking and hiking other activities available from Zomba Forest Lodge include trout fishing, bird watching, guided tours around the plateau, excursions to the bustling Zomba Market or horse riding.
