Kicheche Valley Camp
Kicheche Valley Camp is set in a secluded area along an Acacia
tree lined river in the recently established 50,000 acre Naboisho
Conservancy in the Masai Mara. Habitats range from acacia woodlands,
savannah grassland plains, riverine acacia forest to rocky undulating
hills, perfect for browsing and grazing herbivores and predators
alike.
Accommodation & Facilities
Kicheche Valley Camp consists of just six spacious luxury
tents, each with en-suite facilities including a flush loo and
shower. The dining tent, with its comfortable local furnishings
and informative collection of reference books and overlooking
a natural spring, makes it a relaxing place to view the passing
wildlife. Meals are taken al-fresco in a clearing overlooking
the plains, or in the dining tent.
Wildlife & Activities
From the camp, game drives with Kicheche's experienced guides
in customised 4x4 vehicles allow guests to view the incredible
wildlife for which the Masai Mara is renowned. Between July
and October huge herds of wildebeest and zebra migrating from
the adjoining Serengeti swell the substantial numbers of resident
animals, creating one of the world's greatest wildlife spectacles.
Thanks to the large amount of prey for crocodiles, lions, leopards
and cheetahs, these fearsome predators abound in large numbers.
Walking safaris are also available, and offer a different perspective
of the fauna and flora.
