Majilis

The Majlis Lamu is a small luxury beach resort located on the exotic Manda Island in the Lamu archipelago in Kenya ’s North coast. 

Accommodation & Facilities
The privately owned island resort combines 25 superbly appointed spacious rooms divided into three villas.  All rooms boast large bedrooms with a king-size bed draped in netting, generous en-suite bathrooms, private verandah, air-conditioning and fans.  The superb seafront views of Ras Kitau Bay and Shela Village allows guests to enjoy the idyllic setting in which to relax and make the most of the archipelago’s charm.  Guests can enjoy a refreshing drink by the poolside bar or the terrace bar offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.  The restaurant offers an excellent variety of cuisine from local seafood to Italian and Japanese dishes.  The hotel also has two inviting pools, a kids club and a wellness centre.

Wildlife & Activities
Activities predominantly revolve around the pristine beaches and warm Indian Ocean.  Dhow sailing trips, snorkelling, wind surfing, wakeboarding and fishing are a few of the activities on offer.  Cultural trips to Lamu town or the Takwa ruins offers guests a fascinating insight into Lamu’s past.
