Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp

Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp sits on the edge of the Laikipia escarpment, on the border of Kenya’s Northern Territories, in a 56,000 acre private wildlife sanctuary. The camp’s spectacular setting overlooks a waterhole and miles of rugged wilderness. On a clear day you are also able to view Mount Kenya.

Accommodation & Facilities
There are 12 tents at Loisaba, three of which are configured to take families in two separate bedrooms joined by a walkway. All have en-suite bathrooms and are beautifully furnished. The camp has a lounge and dining area and the infinity pool enjoys an incredible view. For those looking to have a private experience, one family ‘combination tent’ and another tent can be used on their own as they have a separate bar area and their own pool.

Wildlife & Activities
While the Laikipia area is not traditionally associated with big wildlife, Loisaba is home to wild dog, leopard, buffalo, hippo, lion and elephant, which may be seen during day and evening drives. There are many other activities on offer at Loisaba, including fishing, mountain biking, horse riding and camel riding, walking, visits to the anti-poaching dog team, bush meals, and river rafting if the water level allows. For those looking to sleep under the stars, Loisaba also offers guests the chance to sleep out on platforms at their ‘Star Beds’, hosted by local Masai.
