Nosy Mangabe

Nosy Mangabe is a pretty island in the Bay of Antongil in the north-east of Madagascar.  Access to the island is by boat.

Accommodation & Facilities
There is no fixed accommodation on Nosy Mangabe, instead overnight visitors to the island camp on wooden platforms under thatched shelters in a campsite on the western side of the island.

Wildlife & Activities
The island is beautiful, with sandy coves, impressive trees and a lighthouse on the high point, but Nosy Mangabe’s big draw is its unique wildlife including the nocturnal aye-ayes.  There are also leaf-tailed geckos, green backed frogs and white fronted brown lemurs to be found and visitors between July and September may see whales in the bay.
