Relais de la Reine

This hotel is cleverly hidden among amazing rocks on the southern boundary of Isalo National Park on Madagascar.  It is 240km from Tamatave in the south west of the island and close to the rock structure of a crowned queen from which it takes its name.

Accommodation & Facilities
The 30 rooms are arranged in sixes in single storey buildings around a courtyard.  Each room has en-suite facilities and its own verandah.  There is a pool next to the main building, which houses the dining room and bar.

Wildlife & Activities
Guided walks can be arranged in the picturesque Isalo National Park. Visits to the Canyon des Singes and Canyon des Rats which are cut into the sandstone landscape are highlights. The Park is impressive because of both the beautiful colours and sculpturing of the eroded terrain and the sweeping panoramas this landscape offers.  The hotel has horses, and rides or hikes can be organized in the surrounding countryside.
