PambelePambele is in the Vilanculos Wildlife Sanctuary on the end of the San Sebastian Peninsula only 10 miles, by boat, from the Airport at Vilanculos. It fronts onto stunning long beaches with white sand and looks over clear azure seas. Originally built as a private home, it is only available for four months of each year and must be booked in its entirety by one party - overall the property can sleep up to 10 adults and five children, but equally feels right for a group of six friends. Pambele's design is superb, with a great deal of thought having been put into the tiniest architectural details. The four villas, two of which have private plunge pools, are set apart from each other along the beach, each with its own veranda and views across the Indian Ocean. All are large, but some can accommodate a family of four. The bar in the communal area has been converted from a dhow and looks over the infinity pool which also has a shallower area for children. The pool is surrounded by a teak deck which, with its different tiers, is perfect for relaxing. Pambele offers a number of different activities, including walks with a guide both inland or to the tidal pools. Diving and snorkeling are also possible and the area has incredible coral and rocky reefs. For fishermen, there is the chance to try for big game fish both on conventional gear or saltwater fly. Those hoping to relax can enjoy island picnics, cruises on the catamaran, or simply lying back in the evenings gazing at the stars of the southern skies.
