Andersson's Camp
Named after the Swedish explorer who first discovered the Etosha Pan, Andersson’s Camp is located within the 30,000 hectare Ongava Game Reserve in Namibia, just 3.5km from the Eastern border of the famous Etosha National Park. Almost as big as Switzerland, Etosha is one of the largest parks in Africa and is Namibia’s premier wildlife destination.
Accommodation & Facilities
The eco-sensitive tented camp is comprised of 20 raised tents nestled into the surrounding mopane woodlands. Each tent is fitted with private bathroom facilities, with a unique outdoor shower, and a private veranda. Andersson’s is an eco-sensitive lodge, using as many local materials in its construction as possible, mixing the naturally occurring calcrete stone cladding with canvas and wood to create a unique and comfortable accommodation. Meals are taken either indoors or outdoors in the main area of the camp (a former farmstead) overlooking a floodlit waterhole. There is also a small swimming pool which is perfect for a refreshing dip.
Wildlife & Activities
There are a range of activities on offer at Andersson’s Camp including day and night game drives and guided bush walks within the Ongava Game Reserve. Full day drives into Etosha are also popular to explore the abundance of game found there.
