Great Namibian Journey
The Great Namibian Journey is a 13 day, small group, scheduled safari that operates throughout the
year. This classic safari allows guests to explore Namibia in great depth and to see many different
aspects of this hugely contrasting country. Most of this safari is overland, although there are a couple
of light aircraft flights providing an unforgettable bird’s eye view of this varied and vast
country.
Accommodation & Facilities
Accommodation on the Great Namibian Journey is in luxury tented camps or lodges which have been
chosen for their quality and location. Each one offers great comfort, good food, and excellent facilities,
as well as varied and interesting activities. The safari is guided by an expert local guide, and the
number of guests is limited to eight to ensure an intimate safari experience.
Wildlife & Activities
From one day to the next, guests will explore the remote regions of this stunning country, including
visiting the mighty Sossusvlei dunes in the south, exploring the unique scenery of the Namib Desert,
and marvelling at the rugged mountains of the Skeleton Coast stretching away to the far north. There’s
the opportunity to view amazing marine life just off Swakopmund, and take game drives in Etosha where
sightings can include lion, giraffe, zebra, black rhino and a variety of antelope. Among other activities
possible during the Great Namibian Journey are tracking the elusive desert adapted elephant, a boat
trip at Walvis Bay, and meeting local Damara and Himba people.
