Ongava Lodge

 

Ongava lodge is situated within its own private game reserve - the 30,000 hectare Ongava Game Reserve which borders Etosha National Park. The National Park is one of Africa's largest; and is approximately the size of Switzerland.

Accommodation & Facilities
Ongava Lodge comprises fourteen large brick and thatch chalets, each with its own private bathroom facilities. A thatched roof covers the split level lounge / bar area, providing incredible vantage point over the active waterhole below which is floodlit at night. The lodge also has a swimming pool in which guests can relax after a long day’s safari.

Wildlife & Activities
Activities from Ongava predominantly revolve around viewing the abundance of wildlife in the nearby Etosha National Park during the mornings, and within the reserve in the afternoons. Bush walks are also popular - tracking rhino on foot is a highlight at Ongava. Night drives and walks can also be arranged on the reserve, and hides can also be enjoyed. Guests will have the potential to view a wide variety of game including lion, leopard, white and black rhino, springbok, gemsbok and hartebeest. Birdlife around waterholes is also good with ostrich, pygmy falcon and all the raptors in abundance.
