Maia

Maia is a peaceful, tranquil retreat set in 12 acres of grounds on a peninsula in Mahé Island’s south west.  Maia offers privacy, serenity, and an escape from the hectic outside world.  Guests are pampered and indulged, while rediscovering their natural senses.  Maia is designed to be a refuge and a place of revitalization.

The accommodation at Maia is in 30 air conditioned villas.  The villas have either a beach front or hillside location, and all of them have a spectacular view of the Indian Ocean.  Each spacious villa has a contemporary style, and is set in the beautifully designed and well maintained gardens, and is comprised of a large bedroom, an adjoining bathroom, a roomy outdoor gazebo area with thatched roof and a day bed, an outdoor bath and an infinity pool.  Every villa is fitted with a flat screen television, a DVD player, wireless internet, surround sound system and mini bar.  Furthermore a private butler serves each villa to look after guests’ every need.  The central part of the resort has a restaurant, bar and a large pool.

Guests may choose to relax in the peace and privacy of their villa, to be pampered in the Indonesian inspired spa or to take leisurely walks along the white sandy beach.  For the more active, the non motorized activities that are offered include windsurfing, snorkeling, and canoeing. Deep sea fishing, Scuba diving, and several other motorized water sports may be arranged and paid for locally in various recommended places.
