Cliff Lodge

Cliff Lodge is a small guest house offering bed and breakfast accommodation in the pretty coastal village of De Kelders in between the larger towns of Hermanus and Gansbaai in South Africa’s Western Cape. This region of South Africa is famed for its excellent whale watching opportunities each year from July through to November. Cliff Lodge commands an outstanding location on the cliff edge (hence the name) providing guests with spectacular views and the opportunity of watching whales and other marine creatures from the comfort of the lodge.

Guests at the lodge are looked after by owners Gideaon and Gill who are excellent hosts. Accommodation at Cliff Lodge comprises of five individually decorated stylish rooms each with adjoining bathrooms. Each room comes equipped with a television, mini bar and other comforts. There is a communal guest sitting room as well as an all weather viewing deck with 180 degree views of the ocean. A small swimming pool completes the facilities.

From the lodge guests can explore the coast and whale watch on foot as well as arrange and pay for other activities on offer including shark cage diving and wine tasting.
