Hog Hollow

Hog Hollow is a small lodge located just twenty minutes drive from Plettenberg Bay, on South Africa’s renowed Garden Route. It is set on the edge of a gorge within a private nature reserve and overlooks a forested valley and the Tsitsikamma Mountains in the distance.

Hog Hollow Lodge has sixteen suites each with adjoining bathrooms and private decks looking out over the indigenous forest. All the suites feature King size beds with fine cotton sheets, spacious and well laid out bathrooms, and a comfortable sitting area. The suites are all decorated in earthy tones, and have fireplaces and hammocks. There is a pool and a bar and restaurant in the main house.

This part of South Africa is noted for its adrenalin sports, and Hog Hollow is a good base for arranging activities such as black water tubing, bungee jumping and paragliding. In addition there are plenty of beautiful walks locally, as well as bike or horse rides and many excellent beaches nearby.
