Lamai Serengeti

Lamai Serengeti is a stunning lodge in the far north of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. The lodge has been intelligently designed to blend organically into the rocky kopjes around which it is built, and to be as unobtrusive as possible.

Accommodation & Facilities
Lamai Serengeti has 12 rooms which are built of canvas, plaster and timber, all with en-suite bathrooms with big showers, flush loos, and a double basin. The spacious rooms also have outside decks with plenty of seating space. Every room has a spectacular view, many looking out over the Mara River to the Isuria escarpment in Kenya’s Masai Mara. The lodge is split into two camps – one with eight rooms and one with four rooms to ensure a private and personal experience for all guests. Each camp has its own mess area as well as plenty of alternative private dining places, a spacious lounge and bar, a pool and many comfortable look-out areas to sit and relax.

Wildlife & Activities
The lodge is in a prime location for good year round game viewing because of its close proximity to permanent water. Lamai Serengeti offers game drives and bush walks which will allow guests to see wildlife such as lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, crocodile, elephant and a variety of antelope. It is also close to the Mara River so ideally suited as a base from which to view the famous ‘crossings’ as the wildebeest stream over the river into the Masai Mara during the migration months of July to October.
