Mysigio Camp

Rooms: 12

Mysigio Camp is a small seasonal camp set in the highlands of Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From its shaded position beneath a grove of mature acacia trees, enjoy incredible views south over Lake Eyasi and west towards the extinct crater of Oldeani. A portion of funds raised at Mysigio Camp go directly to helping the local Masai population.

Accommodation & Facilities
Twelve large and airy semi-permanent tents are equipped with en-suite facilities including a bucket shower and eco-toilet, and a private viewing deck with panoramic views. Communal areas comprise a dining tent and separate lounge tent with cozy wood-burning stoves to ward off the evening chill. Solar panels power the camp, keeping its environmental impact to a minimum.

Wildlife & Activities
During your stay at Mysigio Camp in Tanzania, you are in a prime position to explore the Ngorongoro Crater and neighboring Masai villages. While there you can meet Ole Dorop, a local chief who loves to discuss his life and the challenges faced by Masai villages in the 21st century.

About the friendliest service and most delicious food we’ve had in Africa. The views are amazing, game drives were awesome and our encounters with local Maasai were authentic and thrilling. Thank you Mysigio, wish we could come back every year.

Mysigio is an authentic tented camp in the Ngorogoro highlands. Here you can walk with Masai guides who have grown up in the area, which is a totally unique, very special cultural experience.
