Sasakwa Lodge

Sasakwa Lodge is a truly stunning property set on a hill top in the Singita Grumeti Reserves.   There are spectacular views in all directions across the wide open Serengeti plains. 

Sasakwa has the appearance of a turn of the century East African ranch house and is decorated in luxuriant style. The ten distinct stone cottages range in size from one to four bedroom suites. The ornate interiors have been decorated with Venetian mirrors and crystal chandeliers, African art and leather armchairs. Each room has a roomy adjoining bathroom and dressing room. Cooled by air conditioning in the summer and heated by fires in the cool winter evenings, the rooms are extremely comfortable all year-round. Outside, each has a heated infinity plunge pool, terrace and spotting telescope. The main house includes a chic dining room, bar, garden room, family television room, library, wood-panelled billiards room and wine cellar. For guests who enjoy sports and leisure, Sasakwa also has two tennis courts, a gym, spa, heated infinity pool and Jacuzzi.  

Safari activities include game drives and walks in the company of knowledgeable guides. Sasakwa’s equestrian centre is just a short walk from the lodge and is home to sixteen horses. Experienced riders can take guided rides out onto the Serengeti plains. Other activities include star gazing safaris, mountain biking, croquet and archery.
