Selous Impala

Selous Impala Camp, a genuine, friendly tented camp, is situated on the banks of the Rufiji River in the northern part of the Selous Game Reserve, the largest protected area in the whole of Africa. The reserve is undeveloped, little known,and has an abundance of flora and fauna, located in southern Tanzania.  

The camp is made up of eight roomy traditional Meru style safari tents with adjoining bathrooms and dressing rooms, and comfortable and beautiful furniture, electricity and floor fans. One of the tents is for families and consists of two double tents together each with its own bathroom and sharing the same verandah. The tents are all raised off the ground on wooden decks with verandahs offering fantastic views over the Rufiji River and the lush forest beyond. The tents have been carefully placed to provide guests with privacy, but are still just a few minutes walk from the main lodge. The camp has a main dining area with a bar, and a spacious deck from which guests can appreciate amazing views of the river and the resident wildlife. The camp also has a swimming pool. 

Selous Impala Camp offers a broad range of activities including game drives, guided walking safaris, fishing and boat trips. Fly camping is also available at a supplementary cost, and is a superb way to see this wilderness in close up.
