Singita Grumeti riding Singita Grumeti is set in the broad, private Grumeti Game Reserve, which borders the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. It has a warm, temperate climate, quintessential savannah scenery, and only three lodges in a location that is almost the size of the Masai Mara. The riding is over vast open plains and through savannah forest. Here you will find 16 horses ranging in size from 14.2 hh and 16.3 hh. These are predominantly thoroughbreds; though there are also a few warmbloods and mixed breeds. They are of good quality and riders need to be capable novices - able to rise to the trot and control the horses at all paces. Guests should expect to spend between two and eight hours in the saddle, though time will be variable to suit fitness and riding ability. Other activities include game drives and walks, archery, tennis, hot-air ballooning, billiards and mountain biking. There is also a fully equipped spa and gym, and a jogging track.
