Mihingo Lodge
Mihingo Lodge is a tranquill privately owned lodge situated adjacent to Lake Mburo National Park. It is an ideal destination to spend a couple of nights on journeys between Kampala and the Queen Elizabeth or Bwindi.
Accommodation & Facilities
The lodge has been constructed from local materials and is built around large rocky boulders and decorated with local Ugandan artefacts. It has been sympathetically designed by the German owner and consists of ten luxury tented rooms on wooden platforms covered by a thatched roof. Each tent has an adjoining bathroom with hot and cold running water and a flush toilet and a private veranda. There is also a thatched dining area, a tennis court and an infinity swimming pool with stunning views over Lake Mburo National Park.
Wildlife & Activities
Lake Mburo is home to a variety of animal species, including zebra, waterbuck, warthog, and impala. In addition, Lake Mburo has large numbers of waterbuck, topi, buffalo, hippo and if you are lucky you will leopard, eland and crocodiles. Aside from relaxing by the pool, enjoying the sights and sounds of nature, or watching nearby wildlife, guests can also enjoy boat trips on Lake Mburo, forest and savannah walks, game drives in Lake Mburo National Park, horse riding (catering for all abilities) and night game drives.
