Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge  
  
Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge is set high up on Nteko Ridge with breathtaking views of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The lodge has eight stone cottages each with an adjoining bathroom, fireplace, soft armchairs and warm duvets. For each room there is an outdoor deck offering views of the surrounding forest. The main lodge is comprised of a dining room where delicious home made meals are offered made from local produce and served with good wine, a bar and library for relaxing after a long day gorilla tracking, a thriving botanical garden and sheltered verandas with views to the volcanoes. The ultimate goal of Clouds is to protect the natural habitat of the mountain gorilla, which also directly benefits the local community of Nkuringo who also have a significant stake in the venture. Activities include gorilla trekking, guided forest walks and bird watching. It is also possible to visit the local Pygmy community and to take village walks to see local craftsmen at work.
