Private and set departure trips can be organized to cover the highlights of Uganda and Rwanda. Private trips can be tailored to suit individual preferences and interests, such as bird-watching or gorilla tracking. Set departure itineraries will include a variety of activities to suit all.

Set departure safaris will take you through the best of Rwanda and Uganda in a small group with your own 4 x 4 vehicle and a private guide. Typically, trips start in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital and end in Kampala, Uganda’s capital. Guests will visit Parc National des Volcans (PNV), Mgahinga National Park, Bwindi National Park and Queen Elizabeth II National Park (QEII) along the way. Throughout the trip, accommodations are provided in the best lodges and camps in each area. Your hosts are the camp staff, and your guide/driver will be available for daily activities.

Gorilla tracking is the main attraction at PNV and Bwindi, although there are other activities available. Golden monkey tracking, a visit to Dian Fossey’s tomb, and volcano climbs are possible at PNV and there are forest walks offered at Bwindi. Lake trips, climbs and nature walks are available at Mgahinga. The focus at QEII is big game viewing and boat trips on the Kazinga Channel. It is also possible to track chimps at the Kyambura Gorge nearby.
