Lion Camp is a seasonal, permanent lodge in the more remote north east area of South Luangwa National Park.  It is a beautifully located camp on the banks of an ox bow lagoon in an area of the park with few other camps.  The lagoon retains a small amount of water throughout the year thereby ensuring a constant water source for the game even in the driest months.  The views across the open grasslands from the camp are always dotted with the local game.

Accommodation & Facilities
Lion Camp is a cleverly designed camp set on raised walkways and with nine luxurious en suite canvas and thatch chalets.  All of the chalets have private decks and views of the lagoon and plains beyond.  The rooms are furnished with large double beds, full size mosquito nets, separate shower room and standing fans.  The bar, lounge and dining area is the central area of Lion Camp with an infinity pool overlooking the flood plains, wonderfully comfortable sofas, a central boma, a snooker table and a library.

Wildlife & Activities
Activities from Lion Camp include day and night game drives and walking safaris with expert guides.  As the name of the camp suggests there are plenty of lions in the surrounding area.  Guests can also expect to see elephant, buffalo, hippo, crocodiles and a number of herbivores during a stay here.  There is also a good chance of seeing leopard from this camp.
