Mana Pools Canoe Trails
This is a great way to travel through the heart of the Mana Pools area in Zimbabwe. The safari starts near the western boundary of Mana Pools near Ruckomechi Camp and finishes just before Chikwenya. Over the three days you will cover a distance of 65 km.
Accommodation & Facilities
For each of the three nights you follow the Canoe Trail you will be staying at a different camp on the banks of the Zambezi River. The camps are erected by camp staff before your arrival. Accommodation is in walk-in insect proof tents.
Wildlife & Activities
This trip is not for the faint hearted. Guests paddle slowly down stream, floating past pods of hippos, basking crocodiles and herds of elephant. Part of the attraction and fun of this safari is that guests have the opportunity to experience wildlife at exceptionally close quarters under the guidance of experienced guides. When you are not canoeing you can take the opportunity to go on a game drive, track game on foot or go fishing.
