The Hide

The Hide is one of only a few camps to be positioned inside Hwange National Park.  One of Zimbabwe’s most famous national parks, Hwange offers superb game viewing in majestic surroundings, and The Hide overlooks a waterhole in its own private concession adjoining the park.

Accommodation & Facilities
Guests at The Hide are accommodated in ten huge, comfortable, fully furnished tents each with outdoor showers, baths with good views and flush loos.  Each tent has a private verandah overlooking the waterhole. The main building is built on two floors and offers plenty of space for relaxing, views over the waterhole, a separate bar, an outdoor dining area, and a pool deck. 

Wildlife & Activities
The two concealed hides set on either side of The Hide’s waterhole offer a great vantage point from which to watch wildlife at very close quarters.  Herds of elephant, buffalo and many others are drawn to the waterhole providing some excellent photographic opportunities.  Day and night game drives and guided bush walks are on offer in addition to the opportunity to visit the tree house for a sleep-out or for a peaceful afternoon. As well as the big game, Hwange is a birding mecca with around 412 species identified to date.
