20 Degrees Sud is a small privately owned boutique hotel situated in the far north of Mauritius close to the vibrant town of Grande Baie. A member of Relaix and Chateaux, the hotel is close to the sea and set in spacious grounds with plenty of coconut palms to provide shade.

Accommodation & Faclities
20 Degrees Sud has 34 contemporary and elegant rooms and suites, all beautifully designed and decorated, and each with a large and stylish en-suite bathroom. Some of the rooms overlook the sweeping Grande Baie, whereas others look out on the garden and pool areas. Converted from an old town house, the hotel is nicely spread out and has lots of living areas filled by sofas and elegant finishing touches. The property is decorated with black and white photographs of years gone by. There are two pools, a small spa, two bars and a superb restaurant with an excellent a la carte menu.

Activities
20 Degrees Sud has an excellent team of staff who ensure that guests are well looked after. Hobie cat sailing, kayaking, snorkelling, bicycles and wind-surfing are all complimentary. The hotel owns the oldest motor boat in Mauritius, Lady Lisbeth, and organises daily boat trips Grande Baie, as well as 5 course gastronomic dinner cruises in the bay. Day trips by road to popular sites such as the Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens, sugar museum, Port Louis and the huge Mont Choisy beach are offered by the hotel, and water-skiing, deep sea fishing and scuba diving can also be arranged locally.
