Camp Okavango

Camp Okavango sits on Nxaragha Island at the heart of the Okavango Delta, the world’s largest inland delta made up of a maze of deep lagoons, large lakes and meandering channels.

Accommodation & Facilities
Accommodation at Camp Okavango comprises 12 tents, each on a raised teak platform with an en-suite bathroom and sliding glass doors which open onto a private open-air viewing deck.  For those seeking greater exclusivity, the Okavango Suite, a spacious thatched cottage offers complete privacy.  The main lodge area features a bar, lounge, library and dining room which leads into an expansive open-air terrace, where meals and evenings around the campfire are enjoyed.  There is also a sundeck with a plunge pool for relaxing during the hotter months of the year.

Wildlife & Activities
The camp’s location within this watery wilderness makes it an ideal place from which to discover this wetland habitat by boat and this is very much the emphasis of a stay here.  Guests are able to explore the reed-lined waterways on both motorboat and mokoro trips led by expert guides.  Guided bush walks on nearby islands are also offered, giving guests the chance to track some of the larger land-based species.  The area is also particularly good for bird watching, as well as fishing for bream and tiger fish which is also offered as an activity.
