Cleopatra's Farmhouse

Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse has a lovely secluded location in the Kamberg valley in the Drakensberg Mountains near Giant’s Castle. It’s a 10 minute drive from Highmoor Nature Reserve at the head of the valley, and hidden away in beautiful gardens above the Klein Mooi River.

Accommodation & Facilities
Cleopatra’s is a beautifully styled country house with two standard rooms, four luxurious suites, two executive cottages, and two larger self-catering cottages. The rooms all have en-suite bathrooms, fireplaces, cosy armchairs, kettles, and a small fridge. The main building sits beside a lake and has lovely views of the mountains. Inside is a cosy lounge, a library, a big dining room, and a wonderful wine cellar downstairs. The menus change daily and always includes local produce and home made goodies. Lunches and picnics can be arranged.

Wildlife & Activities
The excellent local examples of Bushman rock art are among the most popular attractions of the area. Only recently two more panels depicting Bushman life have been found. The mountains offer wonderful walks and hiking, and trout fishing, horse riding, mountain biking, and birding excursions can be arranged with local guides.
