Four Seasons Resort Mauritius

Four Seasons Resort Mauritius is one of the world’s leading operators of luxury hotels and resorts, and its new resort and spa on the east coast of Mauritius, offering the renown Four Seasons exemplary service, is perfect for both couples and families. The resort is situated about 45 minutes from the international airport and occupies 26 hectares of the 216-hectare Anahita World Class Sanctuary. Children of all ages are welcome.

Accommodation & Facilities
This luxury five star resort has 90 spacious one-bedroom villas, each stylishly designed with sophisticated decor. The well-spaced villas provide secluded accommodation and golf buggies are on call to transport guests around the hotel. Each villa has a private plunge pool on an outdoor terrace and follows the characteristic Four Season standard with modern amenities including an iPod docking station and flat screen television. The villas are all identical but vary in location; some are in the heart of the well maintained gardens while others are located on a large private island (linked by a bridge to the mainland) and have uninterrupted views of the ocean and direct beach access. There are also residence villas, which have two, three or more bedrooms and are equipped with a kitchen, large pool and a large living area ideal for families and groups of friends travelling together. The largest is the five bedroom Royal Residence villa sleeping ten adults and two children.

Eating & Sleeping
A children’s menu is available including soups, salads, pasta, pizza, grilled fish, fresh fruit salad etc. Children can eat lunch at the kids club “The Hobbit Village” from 12.30 to 2 p.m. A baby/ toddler menu is also available including finger snacks, pureed fruits, fish and vegetables of your choice. Children can also have lunch and dinner in their villa through in villa dining. (Tray charge of MUR 550 will be applicable).

The Kids Club team can look after the children during the operating hours only. Outside of these times a babysitting service is available with 24hrs notice and is provided by the Kids Club team at a rate of Rs 600 per hour. Please note that a maximum of two children is allowed per babysitter.

Activities
A variety of non-motorised water sports is on offer to guests on a complimentary basis and includes kayaking, Hobie cats, snorkelling trips, waterskiing as well as boat shuttles to the beach at Ile aux Cerfs. The resort is also home to a Fitness Centre, two tennis courts, four restaurants, a spa, Kids Club and Teens Club. There is a dive centre on property. There is also an eighteen hole golf course which, designed by Ernie Els, is famous for being the longest in Mauritius. The course is kind enough for beginners but also technical enough to satisfy competent and confident golfers.

Specifically for children …
The Kids Club known as The Hobbit Village is open to children aged four to nine years and is run by trained staff. Open from 9am – 5pm, facilities include a swimming/paddling pool, an amphitheater, a bakery, a quiet room, a playroom and a sandpit. Daily hosted activities include visits to the chef’s garden, baking pizza, mini football, arts and crafts, mini disco party, fishing, badminton, scavenger hunts etc.

Older children and teens can meet at Karokan, the clubhouse for ages 11 to 18. Open daily from 10am – 11pm, facilities include table tennis, a home cinema, table football, a supervised pool and computer games.

The concierge is on hand to arrange family activities such as boat trips and golf lessons, helicopter tours, private barbecues and horseback riding.  Appropriately sized bikes, bike helmets and life jackets are available.
