House in the Wild
House in the Wild is a family owned small private lodge located on a private conservancy in the north of the Masai Mara. The house is located by the Mara River and has superb views of the surrounding country, and a very scenic setting. At the heart of the the business is a model of regenerative eco-tourism, and a commitment to restoring wildlife habitats and improving the lives of the people living in the area. The estate is the first project of its kind where the land on the edge of the Mara has changed from farming back to nature: it’s a story of collaboration and commitment, of rewilding and restoration, of community and conservation, of growth, hope and progress.
Accommodation & Facilities
There are seven cottages – four one suite cottages and three two suite cottages which is ideal for families or friends. The one suite cottages are situated along the banks of the Mara River, whilst the two-suite cottages are set back a little with expansive lawns. All cottages have outdoor terraces. The lodge has a spacious dining room and lounge, and a lovely riverside pool and pool lounge area. The team at the lodge including an excellent chef are on hand to look after clients every wishes.
Wildlife & Facilities
The House in the Wild provides guests with a private vehicle and guide for the duration of their stay, and the activities on offer include wildlife drives, walks, farm tours, tennis and visits to the local Masai community.
