Jaci’s Sabi House

Jaci’s Sabi House has a secluded and beautiful setting in a peaceful part of the Sabi Sands private nature reserve. Close to the unfenced 50 km boundary with the Kruger National Park, the house offers guests access to a large expanse of this 65,000 hectare wildlife sanctuary which is renowned for its big population of large species including significant numbers of leopard, lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and giraffe. The lawns and garden run down to a large dam which attracts plenty of wildlife to drink throughout the day, Children of all ages are welcome here.

Accommodation & Facilities
Jaci’s Sabi House sits within securely fenced grounds, making it very safe for children of all ages, and accommodates a maximum of six guests. The thatched main house has an air-conditioned en-suite master bedroom, lounge, dining room, an open kitchen and a bar. The front of the house opens out onto the large terrace from which wildlife can often be seen grazing or drinking from the dam. Close by, the thatched cottage has two Garden Rooms, which have en-suite bathrooms, and are air-conditioned. Outside, there is a swimming pool, a lovely outside dining area and extensive lawns and gardens planted with indigenous plants. The house has a full team of staff to take care of guests.

Eating & Sleeping
As Jaci’s Sabi House is booked on an exclusive use basis, families are very well catered for with complete flexibility over meal times and menus and also where to eat. As well as the beautiful inside dining room, the large terrace is a lovely place to eat al-fresco, and picnics are often taken out in the bush. Children can eat at any time of day, on their own or with their parents, and they can also help prepare meals in the open kitchen and bake cakes and cookies. For younger children, two stretcher beds or cots can be placed in the master bedroom in the main house, or one in each of the Garden Rooms.

Wildlife & Activities
Wildlife viewing in Sabi Sand is absolutely superb, with lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, black and white rhino, cheetah, hyena, wild dog, giraffe, kudu, wildebeest and amazing bird life often seen. Private wildlife drives in an open safari vehicle give guests lovely opportunities to enjoy the riches of this spectacular habitat in close up and peace, and bush walks are also on offer for adventurous guests.
