Khwai Tented Camp

Khwai Tented Camp is in the peaceful western sector of the Khwai community concession just outside the Moremi Game Reserve’s northern border. The camp overlooks the Khwai River and its floodplains.

Accommodation & Facilities

The camp has seven modern safari tents, one of which suits a family, on raised decking, with en-suite bathrooms and 180-degree views of the bush. The camp is simple and contemporary in style and accommodates guests in great comfort. Meals are mostly eaten outside, although there is a spacious mess tent and a lounge. There is a sunken fire pit perfect for drinks before dinner and a pool in which to cool off in the heat of the day. Thanks to its small size Khwai Tented Camp is one of the most personal and intimate safari camps in Botswana.

Wildlife & Activities

Khwai Tented Camp is a great location from which to see elephant, buffalo, zebra, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, giraffe, eland, sable, hippo, hyena, and various other nocturnal species, on day and night wildlife drives as well as walking safaris. If water levels permit, guests can also enjoy gliding through the waterways in a mokoro (dug-out canoe). Visits to the local communities are also possible.
