Kuthengo Camp

Kuthengo Camp sits among fever and baobab trees on a large plain in the northern part of Liwonde National Park. Kuthengo is the local Chichewa word for ‘wilderness’, an accurate description of the location, and this unspoiled park offers visitors the opportunity to experience the many activities on offer in complete privacy.

Accommodation & Facilities
Kuthengo Camp has four spacious safari tents including one set up for a family, which are all en-suite with bath tubs and outdoor showers.  The comfortably furnished tents have an evening breeze cooling system over the beds. The camp has a rustic charm which is complemented by the stunning views offered from the private decks. There is a dining room, lounge and bar in the central mess tent,

Wildlife & Activities
Activities on offer include day and night game drives in open top vehicles, walking in the company of knowledgeable guides and boating on the Shire River.   Wildlife in the area includes waterbuck, elephant, zebra, hippo and crocodiles.  The birdlife is excellent as well.
