Kwetsani

Kwetsani is located in the private Jao Concession in the heart of Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Set amongst mature trees on a small island in the floodplains, it is a mixed water and land based camp, with wildlife activities in boats or by mokoro (dug-out canoe) or in vehicles, dependant on water levels which vary both annually and throughout the year.

Accommodation & Facilities
The camp accommodates just ten people in five superb rooms built above ground and linked by board walks. The design of each room has been carefully planned, and the view from your bed, verandah or the pool deck across the flood plain is breath-taking. Each room has an ensuite bathroom with inside and outside showers, and the honeymoon suite also has an open air bath. With the small number of people for whom Kwetsani Camp is designed, the bar and dining area feels intimate under its beautiful thatched canopy and the shade of an immense fig tree.

Wildlife & Activities
The species that can be seen here include lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, waterbuck and lechwe. Wildlife viewing and bird watching by vehicle from Kwetsani is excellent and nocturnal predators may also be seen when returning to camp at dusk. When water levels are high enough, you can explore the palm-fringed islands by mokoro or motor boat enabling you to fully experience the myriad of channels of the Okavango Delta in this area, and fishing is also available from March to December. Walking safaris are offered and must be pre-booked.
