Limalimo Lodge

Limalimo Lodge enjoys an exquisite location on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the Simien Mountains National Park.  Set in a 10 hectare site and the only luxury lodge in the area, it provides a great base for trips into the national park.

Accommodation & Facilities
This beautiful lodge has just 12 en-suite rooms, scattered around the site and each with a breath-taking view of the mountains beneath.  The restaurant and bar are perched on top of a hill with vistas along the dramatic escarpment and onto the lowlands below.  The gardens feature large acacia trees with hammocks and inviting benches from which to soak up the atmosphere and watch troupes of gelada baboons passing through.

Wildlife & Activities
The Simien Mountains are rich in wildlife and a haven for nature lovers, offering sightings of mammals endemic to Ethiopia. The park is home to the largest population of the gelada baboon, the Walia ibex (a horned mountain goat) and the Ethiopian wolf.  Activities include treks into the mountains, great birding, and local village visits.
