Lion Sands Treehouses

Located in the southern Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Lion Sands offers a safari in both the Sabi River and Sand River ecosystems. The reserve is family owned and managed by the fourth generation More Family. Ivory Lodge, River Lodge, Narnia and Tinga Lodge all offer a tree house option for a magical sleep out in the Sabi Sands.

Accommodation & Facilities
Chalkley Treehouse has been built into a centuries-old leadwood tree while Kingston Treehouse is built around an outcrop of boulders. Chalkley is the smaller of the two, accommodating two adults in a double canopy bed draped in mosquito netting. Kingston is sheltered by a glass and wood structure and comprises a king-size bed and two pull out beds. Two adults and two children (aged 10 to 14) can be accommodated here. Tingleti Treehouse overlooks the Sabie River based in a seclude part of the reserve. The large deck area can accommodate a couple or a family of two adults and two children under the age of 15. All three tree houses have solar lighting, showers and a loo.

Wildlife & Activities
Guests spending a night at either Chalkley, Kingston or Tingleti Treehouse will take an afternoon game drive from the lodge which will end at the tree house. Equipped with a gourmet picnic basket and two-way radio it’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a night under the stars in complete luxury. Both offer uninterrupted views of the wilderness and the wildlife.
