Little Machaba

Little Machaba sits on a small wooded island in the Khwai Concession adjacent to Botswana’s Moremi Game Reserve. The large sycamore fig trees from which the camp takes its name provide good shade for the camp.

Accommodation & Facilities
Little Machaba has four large traditional safari tents set on wooden decks, two of which are family tents with 2 bedrooms and a shared sitting room. The tents have big bedrooms with armchairs and a table as well as the bed and a wardrobe. There’s an ensuite bathroom with an outside bath and shower as well as the shower inside. The camp has a big mess tent with a library, lounge, bar and dining room, and a pool located on its own deck.

Wildlife & Activities

The wildlife viewing at Little Machaba is excellent, with large numbers of predators such as lion, leopard, wild dog, and cheetah, as well as hyena, found in the vicinity. Elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippo and zebra can also be seen along with numerous plains species, and the birdlife is also prolific. The activities on offer include Day and night game drives, walking safaris, and if water levels are sufficient, mokoro (dug-out canoe) trips.
