Little Tubu

Little Tubu Camp is located on the remote Hunda Island in the 60,000 hectare Jao Reserve, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Hidden amongst a canopy of trees overlooking a seasonal river, Little Tubu offers an intimate wilderness experience for a maximum of six guests.

Accommodation & Facilities
Little Tubu is an authentic tented safari camp built on raised wooden platforms to take best advantage of the beautiful view over the floodplains. The camp accommodates guests in just three large comfortable tents, each with a small private deck in front. The tents have en-suite bathrooms, with flush loos and private outdoor showers. The main dining, bar, lounge areas and pool are designed to blend into the surrounding environment and have spectacular views.

Wildlife & Activities

Activities at Little Tubu Camp include day and night drives in open 4 x 4 vehicles, and walking safaris (must be pre-booked). When the Okavango’s annual flood is at its highest (normally May to late September), boating, fishing and mokoro trips are also offered. A variety of habitats ensures diverse and interesting wildlife viewing, and the species seen here include elephant, lion, zebra, red lechwe, giraffe, tsessebe, wildebeest as well as kudu, impala, leopard and bushbuck. There are also two platform hides on Hunda Island, offering incredible up-close viewing or the unique opportunity to sleep out under the stars.
