LUX* South Ari Atoll
The picture perfect island of Dhidhoofinolhu is home to LUX South Ari Atoll, a gorgeous luxury resort offering a laid-back, desert island paradise. The island is reached via a 25 minute seaplane flight from the international airport. Children of all ages are welcome.
Accommodation & Facilities
There are 193 villas dotted at the water’s edge, along two miles of powder fine beaches and perched on stilts above the lagoon. Whether on land or above water, sunset or sunrise facing, the spacious rooms and suites are the epitome of beach-house chic. Sea-facing beach pavilions and villas are suitable for families and come with private gardens, outdoor showers and a lovely deck on which to relax. The largest pavilion can accommodate up to four adults and two children. For foodies, there are seven eateries and five bars – all worth booking in advance. East Market is a sophisticated take on a bustling local night market. Umami offers fine dining from separate sushi, teppanyaki and robata counters. Allegria, Senses and Island Kitchen stimulate international palettes and the new Beach Rouge introduces a dose of fashionable beach club to the island. There are two infinity pools, floodlit tennis courts, a 5 star PADI dive centre, a gym and fitness centre and a spa.
Eating & Sleeping
Children can have separate meal times and there is a children’s menu available in the different restaurants to suit all tastes. A babysitting service is available for children aged one year and above and is carried out by trained staff members from the kids club.
Activities
Warm and clear, the waters surrounding LUX South Ari Atoll are a diver’s dream – great for whale shark watching all year round – and the PADI dive centre offers tailored programmes for all abilities. Adrenaline addicts will enjoy flyboarding and hoverboarding and there is a huge mix of land based activities including tennis, volleyball, beach yoga and cycling. Cinema Paradiso shows impromptu open air screenings and spend some time in the excellent spa for a relaxing treatment.

A daily programme of themed activities supervised by the trained, enthusiastic and friendly staff at the kids and teens clubs will keep all ages busy with tennis and scuba lessons, pizza making, banana boat rides, arts and crafts, games and treasure hunts.
