Mahogany Springs Lodge
Mahogany Springs Lodge is close to the Munyanga river just outside Bwindi Forest in the south western corner of Uganda. The comfortable lodge takes its name from a 200 feet high, 400 year old mahogany tree in the middle of its gardens, beyond which are vistas of the tree clad hills of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Accommodation & Facilities
Mahogany Springs is built from locally sourced materials, and consists of eleven stone and wood cottages with en-suite bathrooms and private balconies with views of the surrounding valley. Two of the cottages each have two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and a large central lounge, and are therefore perfect for a family or friends. The main lodge includes a dining area, lounge and bar, with a panoramic terrace.
Wildlife & Activities
Close to Bwindi Forest, Mahogany Springs is a perfect base from which to go gorilla trekking and bird watching, and to visit the local community or enjoy nature walks.
