Marataba Mountain Lodge

Marataba Mountain Lodge sits on the hillside in a secluded valley in the 21,000 hectare Marataba private concession in the Marakele National Park on the edge of the Waterberg Mountains in South Africa.

Accommodation & Facilities
Marataba Mountain Lodge has five air-conditioned timber rooms accessed by a winding path from the main lodge. Each room has an en-suite bathroom, a fireplace, fridge, coffee, and great views down the valley to the plains beyond and the cliffs of the Waterberg mountains opposite. The lodge itself has a large deck outside with a fire pit and a small pool, and a dining room, bar and lounge inside. Nearby, there is a tree-house for sleep-outs.

Wildlife & Activities
Expert guides take guests for wildlife drives, boat cruises and walking safaris at Marataba Mountain Lodge. The area is rich in wildlife with lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, elephant, giraffe, zebra, kudu, eland, hippo, brown hyena, wildebeest and impala all present in the reserve.
