Mashatu Tented Camp

Mashatu Tented Camp is located in the remote northern sector of the 29,000 hectare Mashatu Game Reserve. The reserve is privately owned wildlife sanctuary situated at the confluence of the Shashe and Limpopo rivers in the northern Tuli area of Botswana, and is rich in both wildlife and birds.

Accommodation & Facilities
The camp has eight safari tents and accommodates just 16 guests at any time. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with an outdoors shower, and is simply but comfortably furnished. The camp has a pool, a hide, a boma, and a bar and dining area.

Wildlife & Activities
Mashatu is famous for its large herds of elephants. There are also lion, leopard, zebra, giraffe, wild dog as well as many plains antelope. As well as drives in open safari vehicles, guests can (at an extra cost) use the photographic hides on the reserve, take guided bush walks, or go for a guided mountain bike or horse riding safari. Visits to some interesting archaeological sites in the reserve and local communities can also be arranged. It is advisable to book the additional activities in advance.
