Meno A Kwena

Meno A Kwena tented camp is on the western boundary of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The camp’s name comes from the name given to a deep stretch of the Boteti River, once inhabited by hippo and crocodiles in a garden of water lilies, which literally translated means ‘teeth of the crocodile’.

Accommodation & Facilities
Meno a Kwena has ten spacious walk-in tents, each with an en-suite bathroom with a shower and flush loo, and decorated with colonial style furniture and locally woven fabrics. There is a large lounge tent with a bar and library. Meals are often cooked on the barbeque and or the campfire, adding to the authentic safari experience, and dinner is often eaten under the stars.  Meno a Kwena has a lovely natural rock plunge pool which is located on top of the riverbank with an excellent view of wildlife visiting the river. There is also a river-side hide, from which good wildlife sightings are regularly reported.

Wildlife & Activities
Activities at Meno a Kwena include drives into the Makgadikgadi National Park, visits to local communities, bush walks, walks with bushmen, and, if water levels permit, boat trips and fishing.
