Mkombe’s House

Mkombe’s House is a private safari house built around the rocks of the Kogakuria Kopje, close to Lamai Serengeti, in the far north of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, with views stretching out to Kenya’s Masai Mara in the distance.
Accommodation & Facilities
There are four bedrooms within Mkombe’s House which allows up to four adults and six children, of any age, to stay in comfort and complete exclusivity. Meals can be planned with the chef and enjoyed in the private dining room or outside on one of the many alfresco spaces with views over the plains. There is also a lounge in which to relax, or you can sit beside, or cool off in, the plunge pool or larger swimming pool. As an exclusive use property, timings of meals and wildlife activities are completely up to you.
Wildlife & Facilities
If you can tear yourself away from the house you’ll find the wildlife viewing rewarding throughout the year with sightings of lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, buffalo and elephant all likely. Between July and October, although varying year to year, this area hosts the wildebeest migration as hundreds of thousands of wildebeest migrate north accompanied by similar numbers of zebra. The Mara River is not far away, so for those wishing to witness a famous ‘crossing’ Mkombe’s House is an ideal base.
