Ndomo Point House

Ndomo Point House is a spectacular, fully staffed private house on Malawi’s beautiful Likoma Island. The island is small and sparsely populated, inhabited only by the local fishing community. Ndomo Point House is set on its own beach on the south-west corner of the island with uninterrupted views across towards mainland Malawi 72 km away. It is a 15 minute walk from the main area of Kaya Mawa lodge and guests staying here have a boat and vehicle at their disposal. Guests here are also welcome to use all the facilities at the main lodge.

Accommodation & Facilities
Ndomo Point House has four beautifully decorated en-suite bedrooms. There is a large stylish living area, large pool and private beach. Dinner is always under the stars and can be served wherever you like at the house, or you may choose to eat on the main beach at Kaya Mawa. You will have a nanny, chef, housekeeper, ground staff and watchmen at your disposal.

Experiences & Activities 
From Ndomo and Kaya Mawa you can make a visit to Mozambique or take a trip by dhow boat. The island is also home to St Peter’s Cathedral, constructed at the end of the 19th century it is the third largest Cathedral in Central Africa. While swimming in the lake from the lakeshore is not recommended, if guests tire of relaxing on the beach, more energetic options including kitesurfing, waterskiing and diving, which can be arranged locally. Lake Malawi has some of the best fresh water diving to be found anywhere in the world. A walk into the local village is safe and fun, the island can be explored by bicycles and the choir from the cathedral often comes to Kaya Mawa to sing and dance for guests.
