Ngala Safari Lodge

Ngala Safari Lodge is located in a private part of the 36,500 acre Timbavati reserve adjacent to the Kruger National Park in South Africa.

Accommodation & Facilities

Ngala Safari Lodge consists of 20 cottages and one family suite, set in spacious and well-shaded grounds. Three cottages have two interconnected en-suite bedrooms for families of four. All cottages are air-conditioned, and have ensuite bathrooms with outside showers, and private verandahs. The family suite has two bedrooms with an adjoining sitting room, and its own private pool. The main area of the lodge consists of an exquisitely decorated large, thatched sitting room, bar and traditional African boma where dinner is served under the African night sky. There is also a large swimming pool overlooking a busy waterhole, a gym, and a library.

Wildlife & Activities

The wildlife in Timbavati is excellent, and lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, elephant, hyena and giraffe can often be seen. Wildlife viewing at Ngala Safari Lodge is either by open safari vehicle or on foot with an armed ranger. This tends to be done in the early mornings and late afternoons when the animals are at their most active. The wildlife viewing experience is complemented by other activities such as stargazing, bird-watching and moonlit bush dinners and bush sundowners.
