Nyamatusi Camp

Nyamatusi Camp has a spectacularly secluded location in a wilderness zone on the eastern side of Mana Pools National Park in northern Zimbabwe. The camp is laid out in the shade of a large grove of mahogany trees, with views across the Zambezi River to the mountains and the escarpment in Zambia.

Accommodation & Facilities

Nyamatusi has six huge tents built on raised decks. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms with inside and outside showers, baths, plunge pools on the front deck, and a cooling system over the beds. The tents are spaced well apart, and all have wonderful unimpeded views of the floodplain, river and escarpment. The camp has a two storey thatched main building which also has an open front to make the most of the setting. The dining room, bar, lounge and gift shop are located here, along with a camp fire.

Wildlife & Activities

Mana Pools has excellent wildlife, which includes lion, wild dog, leopard, buffalo, elephant, hippo, crocodile, eland, kudu, hyena, impala, and warthog, and fabulous birdlife. Nyamatusi offers guests the chance to see this natural wealth from the comfort of an open vehicle, on walking safaris, or from a canoe on the river. Catch and release fishing is also an option.
